MRC loves receiving fellow believers at the Lord’s Table. But it isn’t our Table or a private meal. It’s the Lord’s Table and a feast for members of Christ’s body. The leaders of this church seek to celebrate this sacrament according to Scripture, and so if you are not a member of a URCNA or NAPARC congregation, we welcome you if you are able to answer “yes” to all these questions about you and your own church:

Have I...

1.   been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? (Matt. 28:19)

2.   publicly professed my faith at a church? (1 Tim. 6:12)

3.   become a member of a Protestant church? (1 Cor. 12:27)

4.   repented of my sins and do I seek to obey God’s commands? (Acts 17:30)

Does my church…

1.   preach the gospel that is summarized in the Apostles’ Creed and/or the Nicene Creed? (1 Cor. 15:1-5)

2.   practice only two sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, as a means of grace? (1 Cor. 10:16)

3.   practice church discipline as Scripture teaches? (1 Cor. 5:9-13)

Did you answer “no” to any of these, or are you just not sure? Hold off on coming to the Lord’s Table and come have a conversation with the pastor or an elder outside the service.
